U.S.-Chile Flags

 

The United States and Chile signed the U.S.-Chile Free Trade Agreement in Miami, Florida on June 6th, 2003. The accord was the United States’ first FTA with a South American nation and had proven to be a true success story.

Bilateral trade between the United States and Chile has more than doubled since the U.S.-Chile Free Trade Agreement took effect on January 1, 2004. And as of 2006, trade between Chile and Florida had grown almost 135% since the implementation of the accord.
