The Inter-American Development Bank annual meeting will take place Friday through April 8 at the Miami Beach Convention Center.

Some 6,000 bank staff, finance and central bank officials from the region, commercial bankers, business executives and members of civil society organizations are expected to attend.

The official sessions open April 7, but the bank will hold meetings and seminars three days before that.

Miami last hosted the Inter-American Development Bank meeting in 1987. The United States has hosted the meeting four times now, once in Washington (1967), once in New Orleans (2000) and twice in Miami.
