Ambassador C. Cobb and President B. Dean of Gateway Florida had the pleasure to host Dr. Pablo Fernandez, Founder and Senior Partner of MarketingTech, in a meeting on October 17, 2008.  Dr. Fernandez, a fellow from Uruguay, also serves as an Associate Professor of Marketing at the Universidad ORT in Montevideo.  As one of the recipients of the Eisenhower Fellowships in 2008, a program that was created to reward established professionals and potential leaders in their fields, Dr. Fernandez has been meeting with businesses and organizations known for outstanding customer service.  By meeting with Gateway Florida, among other firms, he hopes to gain insight into the service industry in the United States so he can promote a service exporting economy in order to raise the overall standard of living in Uruguay.  Dr. Fernandez will also explore ways that a strong service sector can contribute to a robust national economy.
