This section of the site identifies some of the broad policy initiatives Gateway Florida is pursuing to benefit Florida and strengthen our relationship with the hemisphere in addition to the Alliance for Hemispheric Prosperity and the several bilateral free trade agreements pending consideration by our Congress.

We have also embarked on a series of “building block” activities which lend prestige to Florida and consolidate our position as the “Gateway of the Americas”, such as the impressive initiative launched by Burton Landy, Gateway Florida board member and Senior Partner at Akerman Senterfitt, to galvanize Florida’s legal community around an initiative to promote the state as the center for international commercial arbitration .

Gateway Florida also wants to emphasize that while these projects are a hefty load, they are by no means exclusive to our mandate. We will continue to seek new and creative projects and initiatives that build the Florida trade franchise throughout the Americas.  We welcome the input of Florida citizens and private and public sector leaders as we work to put even more substance behind our well-recognized brand as the Gateway of the Americas.
